“The Franklin Method™ Spinal Health Workshop for a strong, flexible and healthy spine”

Saturday, 27 May 2017  – 12pm to 3pm (approx 3 hours)

The spine is a masterpiece of design containing over one hundred joints and associated muscles and ligaments. How, then, is it possible that so many people suffer from dehibilitating pain associated with the spine? Complex design requires conscious maintenance.

Why do we have a spine in the first place?

Why is it shaped the way it is?

This workshop will help you understand the evolution, design, and function of your spine using imagery and simple movement. You will come away with exercises that you can do for yourself to improve your posture and spinal health.

The workshop format:-

Please arrive promptly at 12pm

  • 12-12.15pm Welcome and introduction
  • 12.15pm-1pm How does our spine function and move?
  • 1pm-1.15pm Movement session
  • Q&A and Refreshment break
  • 1.30pm – 2.15pm What influences our spinal movement?
  • 2.15pm – 3pm Ball massage and soft tissue release

There will be time for questions at the end of the workshop therefore if you wish to stay on, if we don’t manage to cover all your Q&As during the workshop, there is no need to rush off.

“The Franklin Method™ Pelvic Power for Core Integration”

Saturday, 24 June 2017 – 12pm to 3pm (approx 3 hours)

This workshop focuses on the use of imagery and better mechanical understanding of the pelvis to increase your pelvic power, alignment and flexibility of the pelvic joints and muscles. To balance the action of the joints we will experience the natural bone rhythms in support of healthy function. This in turn will increase the safety of the lower back, knees and foot.

You will leave the workshop with a sense of aligned strength through the pelvic floor, the feet firmly balanced and the spine long and buoyant.
